Tutu's first day visiting!

Tutu came to visit Mason for the Memorial Day weekend!  It's the first time she's seen Mason in person since Auntie April's wedding, when he was 5 months old. A lot has changed since then.  Tutu drove and got in early, early Saturday morning.  She stayed with my grandmother, and as soon as they were awake, they called us to come over.   When we got there, Mason wanted to play upstairs, so we all went up to the playroom

And as a last minute addition, Uncle Todd came too!  It's the first time he really got to spend time with Mason, at the wedding we were only in the same place for four hours or so.

Grandpa Eric was a hit too, Mason was kissing him on the lips before the end of the first day.  Mommy is the only person he usually does that to, it was really cute! No pictures, unfortunately, no one had a camera handy until he was done.

The floor wasn't terribly comfortable, so we finally went downstairs with some toys for Mason.  May have been a mistake though, Mason ran into my grandpa's exercise equipment and scraped up the side of his face.  That was the first of many head injuries that weekend.  After that, we came back to our apartment and had bbq.  Here are some cute pictures I took while Mason was posing in our living room.
This is my favorite!

Tiffany's graduation

Auntie Tiffany graduated from high school!  She was valedictorian, so we all went to the ceremony to hear her speech.

Mason spent much of the time on Grandpa and Grandma's laps.

Here's a shot of Tiffany on the stand not from the screen.

Here is a shot of the whole family who came.

It was a looooong ceremony, and when it was over we sat and waited for most of the crowds to clear out.  Mason enjoyed exploring the stands a bit.

Mother's Day

Mason is being cuddly with Mommy for her Mother's Day present.
Until he started posing.

Daddy and Aunties Melissa and Tiffany made cinnamon rolls, then we all went over to Grandma Blake's for dinner.  Mason loves playing at Grandma's!

Father and sons campout

Mason got to go on a father and sons campout with Daddy, Grandpa, Uncle Jeremy, Uncle Jeffrey...

...and Auntie Melissa!  (Yes, it was father and sons, but some girls ended up being invited.)  Here he is getting ready to eat his hotdogs cooked over a fire!

All the adults had tin foil dinners, but Mason doesn't really like hamburger, so he got hotdogs.

Grandpa made homemade root beer!  Mason wasn't interested, he prefers his H2O sugarless.

After dinner, the uncles and Daddy went to put up the tent.  Mason found something more interesting to do in front of Grandpa's truck.

Digging is fun!

Then, when he saw the tent, he thought it was amazing!

He liked to push his head against the netting, and look around at everyone.

Then they played games.

Uncle Jeff brought a giant Frisbee, and it was fun to throw.

Then they roasted marshmallows over the fire.  Mason wasn't interested in those either, though the next morning he discovered that they melt if you throw them in the fire.

It took him a long time to fall asleep that night, there was so much excitement going on! Lights and talking, and loud booms from the scout camp nearby.  Uncle Jeff finally rocked him to sleep sometime after 11.
Tired baby boy!
Then everyone but Mason woke up way early (like 4:30 am early) and went out to have fun, like rebuilding the fire.

Mason woke up around 6:30.

He had eggs for breakfast, and was he hungry!

After breakfast it was time to take down the cool tent.

Isn't it nice being a toddler?  The adults do all the work for you!

Then more playtime!  First wandering around in the grass. . .

then playing with a ball with everyone.

Then it was time to go home again.  Mason missed Mommy, but had a really fun time on his frist campout!
He got home around 10, and went straight down for a 2 hour nap.  Gotta make up the sleep somehow!
